Go Western Day

Go Western Day at SMILE today.

I was looking forward this day.

Sounds interesting.

We ate a barbecue lunch.

It was looks like burger,

but something delicious sauce inside.

I don't know the name of it.

After lunch,we did Square Dance.

At first I couldn't Dance well.

But getting better and better.....

It was very fun and nice exercise.

We had a great time!!!

My English teacher Heidi was not here today.

I hope that her son get well soon.

NEW Burger shop

On Sunday,I went to the NEW burger shop

with my family.

Jerry Built Homegrown Burgers.
3501 West Holcombe Houston,TX 77025

There was very crowded.

We saw a long line of people.

But never gave up!!!

I ate a cheeseburger add chili.
It was sooooo good.
I like the buns especially.
Also like homemade lemonade.

There was no kids menu.
But my 5years daughter ate it up.

I'm sorry.
I have no photo.
Because too much tasty!!!

Kendo

My husband and sons doing Kendo at Houston Budokan.

Kendo is Japanese sports, kind of BUDO.

Use bamboo sword,called SHINAI.

My husband LOVE Kendo so much and teach there.
Sons take Kendo lesson every Saturday.
They enjoying Kendo in Houston.

HandCraft

Yesterday,I tried handcraft.

Teacher was my friend.

First I cut a bandanna.

Next sewing big button on center.

At last,put small heart-shaped beads on.

This is for my daughter's Rodeo!!!

I'm glad she likes it.

I asked my sons "You want same one?"

"NO!"they answered speedy  quick.

They like very simple bandanna.

I'm looking forward to go My FIRST Rodeo.

Can't wait!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

My kids enjoyed American Valentine's Day.

They had a party each classroom at school.

Eat some cake,exchange valentine cards & candy.
My sons and daughter got many treats.
Same as Halloween.

My son did valentine craft at the party.
And guess what?

It's for ME!!!

I'm soooo happy.

In Japan,today is Valentine's day.

Female give some chocolate to male.

Husband,dad,grandpa and boyfriend.

Male have to give something back on 14th March.

We called this day  "White Day".

Recently teenage girls give valentine for girl.

And sometimes,woman buy famous expensive one for myself.

GODIVA chocolate!!
It's my favorite.

I made special chocolate cake for my family.
With LOVE from the bottom of my heart.

Birthday

My son Haruya's Birthday.

He turned nine today.

I asked him "What do you want to eat  for your party?"

"I wanna eat UDON."he said.

UDON is Japanese Noodle.

Very simple and easy cook.

We usually serve Hot Udon or Chilled Udon.

Boiling the noodles 5-8 minute and drain.

Udon Soup made from soy sauce and dashi.(Japanese seasoning)

There are many kinds of topping on noodle.

We can eat each our own Udon.

Shrimp Tempura on top today.

Also chopped scallion and Fried Tofu.

I prepare the Birthday Cake.

Yummy Fruit Tart.

I bought it at la Madeleine.

We actually enjoy the party !!!

Sushi Roll

Last week,I made Sushi Roll with my friends.

Regular Sushi Roll covered seaweed outside.

This time we made seaweed inside Sushi Roll.

It's like California Roll,called URAMAKI.

URAMAKI was soooo difficult for me.

My Sushi Roll looks terrible.

So I ate my frieds made one.

California Roll was soooo good !!

And My favorite SPAM and EGG Sushi Roll !!

My kids like Natto and Takana (Japanese pickles)

In Japan We use Makisu (Bamboo Sushi Rolling Mat)

I have a wonderful Makisu.

Lekue Silicone Makisu Mat.
